After the 2016 election, women all over the United States were on fire about the rollback of our freedoms. Supermajority co-founders Cecile Richards, Ai-jen Poo, and Alicia Garza were being stopped on the streets by women asking what they could do next. Together, the co-founders wanted to find the answer to one question: What could women do to build the world we deserved? So in 2019, they launched Supermajority, an organization focused on making women the most powerful voting bloc in the country.

That same year, Cecile, Ai-jen, and Alicia partnered with trailblazing activists Deirdre Schifeling, Jess Morales Rocketto, and Katherine Grainger to launch Supermajority Ed Fund, a sister organization dedicated to research, education, and development programs that support women in growing their leadership skills. The co-founders took to the road for a nationwide bus tour to meet with women across the country to discuss their vision for the future. From those conversations, we created our values-based agenda called the Majority Rules.
